Niagara Conservation Areas
Niagara has been blessed with a multitude of natural treasures. The Niagara Falls, Lake Ontario, Lake Erie, the Niagara Escarpment all make up the diversity that is the Niagara Region. Niagara's Conservation Areas offer visitors a chance to see the finest nature has to offer up close.
The Conservation Areas in Niagara are managed and maintained by the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority. Established in 1959, it the encompasses the entire Niagara Region, 21% of the City of Hamilton and 25% of Haldimand County.
It is through their stewardship that over 7,000 acres of sensitive ecological areas have been preserved and held in public trust for future generations to enjoy. Whatever your tastes the Niagara Region is sure to have something that interests everyone.
