Paradise Grove
Paradise Grove Restoration Area is located along the banks of the Niagara River, just south of the Old Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. It is easily accessible by the Niagara River Parkway Trail. With a grant from the Government of Canada’s Great Lakes Sustainability Fund, the area has been left to rejuvenate with many natural species of plants returning.
In the fall of 2003, 1000 oak saplings were planted. Although sometimes referred to as a park, Paradise Grove is a natural rejuvenation area, providing native plants and animals a home. It is therefore important to remember to stay on paths so as not to disturb the greenery.
